Dan-Wood houses are all ‘prefabricated’ which means that every component is designed and built in Dan-Wood’s factory in Poland, then shipped to the UK or Ireland and delivered on site.
Dan-Wood offers a full service from initial design through to full “turn-key” construction. A dedicated team of skilled Polish contractors and tradesmen – trained in every part of the Dan-wood construction process – spend as little as ten weeks building a house.
Dan-Wood houses come fitted with every detail apart from kitchen units and appliances*:
- Walls – heavy duty timber-frame closed wall panels complete with external render, internal plasterboard, insulation and service conduits
- Roof – roof sections, eaves, fascia boards and soffits are all pre-made
- Ceilings – plasterboard, taped, filled, painted and finished
- Windows and doors – double-glazed in solid wood or synthetic material and pre-fitted into your wall panels for extra thermal efficiency
- Electrics – wiring, sockets and switches are in place from day one
- Plumbing – internal and external pipework and guttering
- Heating – combi boilers, underfloor heating, flat-panel radiators, geothermal pumps or solar panels
- Lighting – internal and external choice of fittings
- Insulation – designed to withstand temperatures of –30 degrees
- Ventilation – heat recovery ventilation systems keep heat in and pollution out
- Render – thermal render system, choose from a range of colours
- Outdoors – conservatories, balconies, car ports, terraces
- Stairs – solid hardwood stairs and balustrades in a range of styles
- Finishes – skirting, surrounds and details
- Flooring – a range of wood, parquet, laminate, carpets or tiles
- Sanitaryware – bathroom sinks, taps, showers, baths and WCs
- Ironmongery – door handles, drawer handles and pulls
- Tiles – wall, floor and roof tiles in a range of colours and styles
- Decoration – internal and external paintwork or wallpaper
