Show House
BUDIMEX DANWOOD is pleased to present our flagship Show House, which was built at our premises in Poland during summer 2006 and showcases our impressive range of design, build and finishing features.
On the exterior, the graphite roof contrasts dramatically with the cream façade, while many windows flood the house with light. Solar energy collectors are fitted to the roof. The entrance stairs (electrically heated) and the garden terrace are made of antislip burnt granite encircled by polished granite. Warm sodium lights richly illuminated the building, particularly in the evening. The design of the house carefully blends with the existing greenery and in the garden babbling water can be heard from the illuminated fountain.
The interior of our house is a customised version of our typical Classic 224 model featured in BUDIMEX DANWOOD catalogues. The bedrooms have been re-designed into four office suites while the upper floor houses our Marketing Department. The spacious upper hallway exits to the front balcony and garden. The carved ceiling is r ichly illuminated and features a stunning custom-designed 3-metre tall chandelier suspended down through two floors to the entrance hall on the ground floor. Visitors to the Marketing Department report by a videophone entry system which has a built-in video camera and a colour screen in the upstairs hall. The upstairs bathroom has strong light as well as discrete night light in a form of a "light-gate".
The ground floor provides the grandest entrance to our show home. From the wide entrance hall (featuring three large illuminated mirrors) an openwork wooden staircase leads upstairs to Marketing Department, while concrete stairs lined with gress lead to the basement. Facing the entrance is a large living room of approximately 72 m2 area, featuring four columns strikingly illuminated from above by inset blue lighting. The room is highly glazed, with electric blinds fitted to the windows and door. Geometric motifs carved into the ceiling create dramatic visual effects, which are enhanced by sophisticated lighting in the evening.
The living room is divided into two zones. The bow-shaped and illuminated marble fireplace is the centre of the first zone adjoining the kitchen, which is intended for resting.
The second zone is designed for meeting and entertaining and features a large round table with a marble surface and elegant chairs. An overhead projector and screen are fitted into a descending platform above the space to facilitate sales meetings and staff training. Touch button controls automatically switch the blinds, lighting, projector and audio system to screening mode. The floor is layed with jatoba and oak and surrounded by polished gress.
From the living room, a passage with built-in kitchen equipment leads to the kitchen, which is fitted with striking wenge and orange units. A large free-standing table comfortably seats six people and sits on an island of wenge-style flooring. The rest of the floor is laid with polished gress. The ground floor also features a toilet and a small "host’s" study.
Movement sensors automatically light the stairs down to the basement, which houses archive material and controls for the house's electronics, heating and air-conditioning systems. The basement parlour (72 m2) features a beautiful illuminated wall lined with yellow slate and currently serves as a showroom for BUDIMEX DANWOOD's finishing materials.
This basement parlour is an essential feature of any home. The blinds and lighting in every room can be controlled separately or from a colourful central sensor panel in the entrance hall next to the living room. Each function can be programmed individually or in groups of devices with one press. Our electronics are designed to be simple and easy to use. The house has a boiler-room, but without a boiler. In the winter, the building's heating and hot water is supplied by a geothermal heat pump. This captures earth heat from approximately 400 running meters of pipes filled with glycol and water solution buried at a depth of approximately 2-2.5 m. During the summer, the coolness of the earth is then used to air-condition the interior of the house.
The elegant ground floor benefits from under-floor heating (air-conditioning), while climate-convectors coupled with the heat pump have been installed upstairs. In a severe frost, the BUDIMEX DANWOOD heat distribution system can provide emergency heat pump support. Hot water in summer is provided by solar energy collectors on the roof.
Our show house has been designed to show clients the widest possible selection of construction, style and finish options for their house as possible.
At BUDIMEX DANWOOD we aim to make your dream home become a reality.
The house is open for visitors from Mondays to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and on Fridays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. FEEL INVITED!
